End of an
era
We often
think about doing certain things someday.
Some of those things make it to the do it soon list. As soon as we begin thinking of doing it
soon, it seems to transition to do it now.
Situations
conspired to move the sale of Submit from do it someday to do it now. She is gone.
We are happy to report she is with a new owner who will love her as much
as we did.
Anchors aweigh.
I am reading a book called High Endeavours: The Extraordinary Life and Adventures of Miles & Beryl Smeeton. If you have not read it, they were a couple who chose to do "high endeavours" in the late 1930's including two unsuccessful (pitch poled twice) roundings of Cape Horn. They just did it. You two just do it. I am envious, proud to know you and excited for your next "endeavour" all at the same time. So I would not offer congradulations, it seems to shallow, maybe its just, hey, welcome to the second happiest day of your life...eh? Kurt
ReplyDeleteBetter to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all... or something like that. Most adventures aren’t what you think they will be. Congrats on doing it. Most people never leave the dock!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! On to the next adventure!
ReplyDeleteSweet but Bittersweet.
